MIT Sloan professor and alumna Julia DiBenigno were named to the 2022 Thinkers50 Radar List. The annual list honors 30 people who are expected to make an impact in the coming year.
Basima Tewfik: Studying the social self at work
Tewfik, an assistant professor of work and organization studies, examines the psychology of the social self at work. Her research includes rethinking imposter syndrome as “workplace imposter thoughts” that might actually be beneficial, and examining how to decline requests for help at work. She also examines effective employee and workgroup functioning in the modern workplace.
She was named by Poets & Quants as a “40 under 40” best business school professor in 2021.

Julia DiBenigno: Researching how to harness valuable ideas
DiBenigno, SM ’14, PhD ’16, is an assistant professor at Yale School of Management. Her research looks at the sociology of work and occupations, collaboration between professional groups, upward influence and voice, and socialization and culture change in health care and government organizations.
