From social science experiments to the sharing economy, here are this year’s five new MIT Sloan faculty members.
Abdullah Almaatouq Assistant Professor of Information Technology
Comes from: Almaatouq completed his PhD in computational science and engineering at MIT. He was a doctoral research intern for Microsoft in 2018, where he helped design a “virtual lab” framework for conducting large-scale social science experiments.
Research: Almaatouq’s research focuses on decision-making in network environments where decisions are influenced by interactions with others. He’s currently working on and testing dynamical models using behavioral experiments and computer simulations.
