Benefits for host companies

Host companies gain valuable engagement with MIT graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds (MBA, SFMBA, MSRED, and MCP programs). By working closely with these interdisciplinary teams, companies can address real business challenges with fresh, innovative perspectives. While the primary objective of the course is to develop students' skills, companies may benefit from the students' creative solutions and consulting-style project work.

The teaching team is actively recruiting host companies for this course. These include companies such as JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle), one of the largest global real estate investment and asset management firms, Taurus Investment Holdings, a major private equity firm, Leo A. Daly, one of America's biggest architecture and projects firm, and McFarlin Group, a senior retirement housing company experiencing expansive growth. Discussions are ongoing with other potential hosts in different sectors.

Host expectations

Host companies are expected to commit time and resources to support student learning, including providing feedback, guidance, and relevant project information. Additionally, companies are asked to cover student travel expenses for the spring break site visits. We aim to finalize host company commitments by early December.
